The Final Battle
Trophy retained by Leo
The final of the 2011 Matchplay competition was fought on a very wet and windy Wednesday at Castleknock golf club, with Don Spollen up against last year’s champion, Leo Lennon Maher. The match went all square to the 18th green and Leo holed the winning putt to become the first champion to retain the Myo’s Matchplay title.
Congratulations to Leo and thanks to all the players who took part in the tournament, especially for playing the matches on time. Presentation of the €250 winners voucher and €150 for the runner-up will be at the AGM on Tuesday 29th November. |
