| Big Turnout for Scramble at Elmgreen | |

Our annual team scramble at Elmgreen last Saturday proved to be very popular once again and 72 players teed off on a fine day at the local course. With a price tag of twenty euros for golf and the President’s dinner, it was hard to resist for sheer value and seven of the eighteen teams also won prizes to top off a great day. That’s a total of 28 prizes, not to mention all the pick-outs at the dinner. A great finale to a great year for Myo’s! This was the first time since the kitchen fire in August that we had a meal in Myo’s and there was general agreement that it was magnificent. Well done to the new caterers, they have set themselves a high standard. That was the last outing of a very successful year for the society with ninety seven members joining, an increase of fourteen on last year. Numbers at the outings were also up to an average of 67 players, despite an unusually quiet day at Castleknock when a mere 39 players battled the heavy rain on a really awful day. Next up on our calendar is the AGM on Tuesday the 4th of December and there will be a discussion about next year’s choice of courses. Be there if you want to make your views known! |
