The year began with a bang at Luttrellstown Castle on the 12th of April with 83 players teeing off for the first outing of the season. The weather was kind, the course was in great shape and this was largest number of players we have had in recent years. Our schedule of top notch courses – see the full tour here – means we can look forward to many more great outings this year. The competition at Luttrellstown was was red hot, with nearly every prize won on count back. Four players managed a two and got €32 each for their extraordinary skills. A large gathering in Myo’s for the presentation of prizes completed a great day with fifteen prize-winners and loads of pick-out goodies for those not in the winners’ enclosure. Our thanks to Heineken who sponsored the outing. The Matchplay draw was also held on the night and now thirty two members begin the battle for the 2012 Matchplay Trophy (see the draw here). The Matchplay Rules can be seen here – please familiarise yourself with them and avoid unecessary confusion. We now look forward to our next outing in Hermitage on Thursday the 10th of May and, if your name is not already down, the time sheet is available in Myo’s. |
