Captain Jonathan Smith took us to Rathsallagh for his big day, and what a day it was. Seventy six players teed off at the magnificent championship course on the Wicklow/Kildare border on the hottest day of the year – so far. Scoring was good in great conditions but Tom Conlon and Larry Keegan sprinted a few shots clear of the field with forty points each. Tommy won the day on count back and he also pocketed €46 for a double hit in the twos club, so a pretty good day for the Myo’s staffer. There was a great crowd back at Myo’s for the presentations and nearly seventy people sat down to the Captain’s dinner. Next up is the President’s Day at Druids Glen.
