The K Club 2016

OUR NEXT OUTING:
  Captain’s Day

  The K Club
  Smurfit Course

   Sponsored by Captain Liam Delaney

  Today – Thursday 23rd June 2016
  K Club Smurfit

The Smurfit Course at the K Club has been described as an inland links. The course has many dramatic landscapes with dune type mounds throughout. Wild species of plants such as gorse, bracken etc. have been planted in a highly random fashion, more or less as nature would have intended. There is plenty of water on the course, making this on of the best inland links courses anywhere. One of the most dramatic water holes is the par 5 seventh, which features a vast man-made rock called the Swallow Quarry, which rises 20 metres high out of a lake.

Please help everyone to have a smooth and hassle free day by checking in at the course at least 30 minutes before your tee time and being on the first tee at your appointed time.

Late starters spoil everyone’s day!

Captain’s Dinner in Myo’s at 8.30 pm sharp!

(plus lots of pick-outs for those attending!)

Timesheet for Palmerstown Stud on 21st of July will open after the presentations

Before you play:

  • Please arrive early and check in at least 30 minutes before your tee time.
  • Check which tees are in play on the day.
  • Familiarise yourself with the Local Rules of the course.
  • Don’t forget the 2s club – a birdie could add to your fortune (full details here)

Before you return your card:

  • Ensure all scores are CLEARLY entered – including points totals. Make sure your FULL NAME and HANDICAP are clearly printed and the card is signed.  Messy or illegible cards lead to errors in checking and can result in your card being eliminated!Illegible cards
  • Please circle any 2s on your card if you have entered the 2s Club – it speeds up checking.
  • Is your handicap correct and up-to-date on the card? No handicap on the card will disqualify you.
  • Double check all the scores and make sure your card is signed by you AND the marker. Mistakes cannot be corrected after cards are returned.
  • Please return cards only in the Myo’s box provided at the course – the box will be removed 10 minutes after the last group finishes their round.
  • Cards will not be accepted elsewhere or afterwards. Please do not ask as checking is usually finalised at the course.

And after the game …

  • Please join us in Myo’s for the presentation of prizes – it’s a big part of what our society is all about! Starts around 9 pm – (if people are there!)
  • Lots of pick-out prizes for those of us who are not in the winners’ enclosure (only for those attending).
